Dear colleagues, education with the author’s educational programs, implemented in the Mkhitar Sebastatsi Educational Complex, is not limited to the walls of the school and classrooms. An important and integral part of Bleyan school is the open educational garden, where the child’s development is combined with nature, a healthy lifestyle and a creative environment.

Outdoor reading, long interval, and plein air work are an important part of everyday life in all schools of the educational complex. Outdoor activities are complemented by sports and backyard games, musical projects, national rituals and holidays. Real beaches of the swimming pools operate throughout the summer in the four junior schools of the educational complex and in the College, where hundreds of children swim in swimming pools for students and pupils of different ages: 2-5 year old pupils, 6-12 year old campers (not only students of the schools of the EduComplex).

An important component of the educational open garden is also the educational farm of the educational complex. Children interact with animals and learn to care for them. Horse riding and hippotherapy not only train the body but also heal the soul.

Outings play an important role in the organization of training, including visits to cultural, scientific, and industrial institutions not only in Yerevan, but also to natural, historical, and cultural monuments, hiking, cycling, and conquering ascents…

Our educational experience shows that the formation of a person is complete only when education is comprehensive and continuous. The continuity of education in the EduComplex is ensured by the 5th academic period, which coincides with the months of June-August. During this period, successive camps and the supplementary education continue in the educational centers of the EduComplex, and workshops-laboratories.

Arates’ year-round school in the heart of nature, the Artanish beach tent camp operating from June to September, educational trips and multi-day camps give students the opportunity to not only learn, master and become skilled with their teachers and friends, spend unforgettable days, get to know their homeland from north to south, take care of it, but also develop independence, important self-care skills.

You agree that you love every corner of your motherland when you know it, when you take care of it, and when you have real memories connected with those places.

Among the camps, the military-sports camp has an important place, which is an integral part of the curriculum in the 9th grade of the Middle School and the 10-11th grades of the High School of the EduComplex, as well as the hiking camp in the 3rd-8th grades.

Rural camps, which are organized the villages with students of partner schools, are also important. The overnight stay of campers from Yerevan is organized in welcoming families. This is a wonderful way for children from different families, living with different lifestyles, to get acquainted, make friends, and establish connections with families as well.

Each of the camps has its own characteristics, but they also have many common points, because patriotic, sports, hiking, environmental, and project components are mandatory for everyone. All camps also have one common goal: to connect knowledge with real life, environmental change, and to educate strong, creative, enterprising, and patriotic citizens.

All of this is united in the idea of an educational garden. The different schools of our educational complex are spread across different parts of the south west district of Yerevan, and the roads connecting them are cared for and cultivated by the students and teachers of the EduComplex. In this way, the educational institutions of the district are united into one complete educational garden, making the district universally inclusive and convenient for residents as well. The educational garden not only provides safe and beautiful transitions from school to school, but also makes education an integral part of community life.
